Sir, The article written by Mr A.M.R in your editon about the status of Lord Amaruviappan is false and incorrect.I have been working in the temple for the past 9 years and doing madappalli kainkaryam. We never stopped any daily routine which includes 6 time pooja.For your kind information, daily curd rice for visvarubam,pongal for kalai santhi,rice with any sambar for uchikalam. We distribute all to the devotees who ever is present at that time.The evening session starts with dosai,vadai,sundal for nithyanusanthanam,pongal or any variety rice for aradhana and for arthajamam, we make kesari or sarkarai pongal along with milk and butter. We never stopped thirumanjanam or any utsavam. We avoided porappadu, that also because after ballalayam, perumal should not come out of the temple.As for as the construction they made rehabilitation only for few places like madappalli,thayar sannathi and vagana mandabam partly being constructed.What i want to tell you is the temple was never in a poor state as written by Mr A.M.R. So please do not write like this again. A.M.R. has written and given very good support to us, for that we thank him, but this one is to be corrected.
